I used to be appalled at what was said and posted in the world of social media. I don’t seem to be that way anymore, which worries me. Have we all become so indifferent to the acrimony towards each other that casually hurling threats openly is acceptable? When I see posts that contain excessive animosity and threats of violence, it just makes me numb anymore. That’s not a good way to feel… it’s being desensitized. I’m not going to blather on about how we should all get along because frankly, I don’t think that’s possible. There are too many people with too many different views and agendas. Let’s just hope if the day comes and this phenom is finally proven to exist, there can be some unity. Pessimist that I am, I just don’t think it will be possible. We can hope, though. Right?
On a better note, the short film, EVE, is in final editing and should be released in about 3 weeks. After that, it will be entered in Sundance and a myriad of other venues. It will also be pitched to Lionsgate and Sony Entertainment. In October, myself and the two directors, Alvin G. Morris and Dominic Orozco will be in the Portland area to meet up with the other screenwriter currently assigned to the feature adaptation. We will brainstorm on where we want this film to go. As it’s going to be an adaptation of both EVE and IRON MOUNTAIN RIDGE, it’s gonna be a roller coaster! I can’t wait to see where it all goes. If any readers out there have thoughts about what they’d like to see in the feature film, please let me know.
Stay tuned for updates on all things EVE. I will be on two radio shows in August and am doing an interview for a bigfoot documentary tomorrow! I will also have a vendor table at the annual Bigfoot Days in Willow Creek, CA on August 30th. Maybe I’ll see some of you there….
